Jojoba Oil

• Conatural’s Jojoba Oil (phonetically: “ho-ho-ba”) is a unique liquid wax obtained by cold-pressing from the seeds of the jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis)
• Jojoba oil is unique in that, unlike most other vegetable oils, it closely resembles sebum, a waxy substance produced by our skin glands, so it can act as a natural skin conditioner
• Also, being a wax, it does not have as much of a greasy feel as oils

How do we define "natural" or “organic” in our formulation?

Many oils available in the market are advertised as pure, yet they may be adulterated with artificial fragrances, cottonseed, or mineral oils. In contrast, all Conatural oils are 100% natural and pure. When we claim a product as organic, it comes with a corresponding organic certificate for that specific raw material. This is mentioned on the product label.

To maintain the quality of some carrier oils, we incorporate a minimal percentage of antioxidants to prevent rancidity and oxidation. This precaution is especially relevant for retail partners who may not have temperature-controlled environments, particularly in warmer seasons. Typically, we use Vitamin E or Rosemary C02 extract as antioxidants, and if utilized, this information is clearly stated on the product label.
